Event Marketing - Motorsports

General Summary:
Performs project management. Responsible for day-to-day contact with client and for implementation of client activities and projects under the supervision of a Senior Account Executive or above.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Creates and nurtures client relationships and assists in determining marketing needs and establishing program metrics

2. Manages programs according to company's established project management process

3. Oversees and/or performs all event logistics, business correspondence, vendor negotiation, project staff supervision, media, web and mobile promotions, creative and writing activities associated with program implementation

4. Prepares program budgets and oversees job cost management

5. Identifies new business opportunities and assists in proposal development

6. Completes additional duties as assigned

7. Adheres to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and all other company policies, procedures and processes

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

1. Knowledge of principles of marketing communication normally acquired through completion of a bachelor degree

2. Two or years of experience in motorsports marketing, event planning or other related field

3. Excellent writings kills, especially in the area of business correspondence

4. Knowledge of and demonstrated desire to expand skills in marketing and promotion, including sweepstakes, contests and incentives, interactive marketing, and experiential marketing

5. Interpersonal skills necessary to build and maintain client relations and build project teams

6. Strong organizational, budgeting and time management skills

7. Demonstrated desire to remain current with trends and technology in the marketing arena

Working Conditions:

Will travel up to 12 times annually, including weekends and holidays. May also require weekend and evening hours. Some physical activities such as standing and/or walking on a racetrack or equivalent surface for extended periods of time and ability to life event supplies and boxes up to 35lbs.
