The Engineering Group provides consultancy for the design and development of high performance powertrains for the road and the track. Cosworth is also unique in supporting this consultancy with world class manufacturing from prototype to medium production volumes. The success of this combination means that Cosworth is continuing to expand and has vacancies for a range of permanent engineering roles at various levels.

The Engineering Group is structured for fast progress; there is close cooperation between the different projects and disciplines as well as with the manufacturing engineers. This will suit candidates that are self-motivated and interested in developing a broad range of skills. The roles can be tailored to suit an individual's interests and capabilities

Design Engineers

  • To create design schemes from "clean sheet" and detail components and assemblies
  • 2 or more years of CAD component design experience is preferred
  • A good engineering degree is a requirement
  • Cosworth uses NX. Knowledge of this CAD system would be preferred, but training will be provided

Development Engineers

  • Flexible positions involving engine performance development, functional testing, and rig and vehicle based testing for a wide variety of engine types
  • At least 2 years of powertrain experience in automotive or motorsport environments is preferred with engine management and data logging system experience beneficial
  • A good engineering degree is a requirement
  • CAD component design experience is desirable

Analysis Engineers

  • Opportunities for FEA (stress, thermal and fatigue), CFD and Multi-Body Dynamics analysis
  • 2 or more years of powertrain experience is preferred
  • A good engineering degree is a requirement

Programme Manager

  • 4 or more years of managing powertrain programmes is preferred

Graduate Engineers

  • Graduate training programme starting each September
  • Candidates will be expected to demonstrate an engineering interest beyond their university studies.
