Role Overview:

  • Defines, implements, maintains, and operates In-Line, Off-Line and End-Of-Line Test Stands in assembly for vehicle testing requirements in collaboration with vehicle design, software, and integration teams, in preparation for new product launches
  • Works cross-functional with Production, Process Planning, Vehicle Testing, Design Engineering, and other teams to define, qualify, and track new processes and all associated work instructions, equipment’s, tools, materials, and training related to all testing equipment
  • Identifies areas of improvement with existing processes and areas for the Test Stands to optimize production processes in collaboration with cross-functional teams, considering KPIs such as quality, productivity, and capital expenditure
  • Coordinates prototype builds and vehicle commissioning in vehicle testing
  • Coordinates investigations for process issues leading to test failures and ensures all issues are driven to resolution, including containment and permanent solution
  • Prioritizes tasks to ensure smooth vehicle launch and new product introductions
  • Provides regular, metric-based project updates to management team
  • Oversees the Electric Vehicle related safety topics
  • Supports Electric Vehicle overall production and safe handling of components

Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for Test Stands quality, processes, and process updates with focus on Lean Production System
  • Focuses on effective and efficient output during assembly production
  • Focuses on existing recourse usage and plans for future resource requirements
  • Trains and qualifies new team member on Electric Vehicle related topics
  • Develops systems and methods for problem solving and improvements
  • Supports other areas/departments cross-functional and the service provider
  • Ensures alignment between internal contributors and with the suppliers
  • Assures process and product continuous improvement
  • Responsible for planning, realization and running of Test Stands
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management
  • Flexible traveling domestic and international

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in engineering or manufacturing
  • High Voltage Electrician Certification
  • 3+ years related professional experience, preferably in an automotive or manufacturing environment with focus on Electric Vehicle launch and production
  • 3+ years knowledge in production, processes, EV product and concepts
  • 3+ years ability to lead Projects and/or Quality Management System
  • 3+ years ability to understand and communicate complex ideas and concepts
  • E/E testing, test tools and system set up skills
  • Preferred Trainer Certification for E/E and EV Flash Levels
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office applications (MS-Project, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
  • Creative, energetic, self-motivated, and highly organized and structured
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced company with focus on critical deadlines
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail skills with high level of initiative and sound judgement
  • Solid communication skills (verbal, written, presentation)
  • Professional English skills, German is advantage
