Duties / Responsibilities (Including Objectives of the role):
As a member of the Body Electrical Systems team, you will support Lotus vehicle programmes with body electrical systems engineering activities. This full-time role makes a vital contribution in supporting the development and bringing to market of new Lotus vehicles. Liaison with suppliers both internal and external to deliver a robust system.
- Validation and support for Lotus programmes
- Support implementation of basic body control functions.
- Validation of body control components.
- Support problem solving activities on Vehicle Electronics topics.
- Ensure proper validation and assessment for electrical and electronic parts.
- Calibration of sensing systems for vehicle security.
- Implementation and validation of vehicle diagnostics for body control functions.
- Ensure professional relationships with our suppliers, including selection and management.
- Support the Principle Engineer - EEI with development and validation activities as appropriate.
Qualifications and Experience (Essential & Desirable criteria)
Essential
- Engineering degree or equivalent
- Experience in the automotive industry.
- Experience with Automotive Electronic Architectures
- Good time management.
- Good communication skills.
- Demonstrate strong customer, team focus
Desirable
- Vehicle testing experience
- Ability to work effectively and calmly under pressure and tight deadlines
Other information
- Ability to travel within the UK and abroad is essential
- Full UK driving Licence is desirable.
