Summit Motorsports Park is looking to expand our first responder team. If you are an Ohio Certified EMT or EMR that is experienced and highly motivated then we have an exciting opportunity for you.

As an Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (EMT-B) you will:

  • Respond to emergency calls on the racetrack as well as other incidents on property to provide efficient and immediate care to the critically ill and injured, and prepare the patient for transport to a medical facility if necessary
  • Collaborate with other emergency medical personnel such as paramedics to stabilize patients, and to arrange their reception at medical facilities
  • Conduct yourself in a professional manner, display a positive company image, continue your education to keep your state licensure and acknowledge accountability for all patient care provided

To ensure success you need to stay calm at all times, and make judicious decisions. Ideal candidates are physically agile, knowledgeable and have outstanding people skills.

EMT Responsibilities:

  • Operating emergency vehicles safely and proficiently
  • Assessing patients' conditions and responsiveness to interventions
  • Renders emergency medical or trauma care, to adults, children and infants based on assessment findings
  • Assessing nature and extent of emergency situations, and need for additional assistance
  • Mitigating incidents by helping control crowds, protecting valuables and performing other duties
  • Assisting other emergency medical personnel with administering Advance Life Support
  • Organizing reception of patients at medical treatment facilities
  • Liaising with healthcare facilities regarding patients' vital statistics
  • Maintaining vehicles, stations, and communication and medical equipment
  • Completing patient care reports and other documentation
  • Complying with applicable policies, procedures and medical protocols

EMT Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED, or a suitable equivalent
  • Current EMT Ohio certification
  • Valid state driver's license and satisfactory driving record
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Excellent people skills
  • Physically strong, agile and dexterous
  • Professional manner and appearance

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $12.00 /hour
