Electronics Reliability Engineer

Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity in our Electronics Department for a Reliability Engineer.

Responsibilities will include investigation of electronic part failures to identify the root cause using 8D practices, recommending changes to prevent reoccurrence and identifying other areas that the "lessons learnt" can be applied to.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the root cause analysis of electronic part failures.
  • Administration of the Car Feedback system.
  • Manage the component level circuit investigation.
  • Development of system test processes for complex assemblies.
  • Support car component allocation activities.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have a broad experience base covering the following:

  • Motorsport or aviation electronics
  • Experience of 8D problem solving principles
  • Sensors and control systems
  • Harness production methods and practices
  • Data bus systems, in particular CAN, ARCNET, FlexRay and Ethernet systems
  • Sensor calibration methods
  • Investigation to component level
  • Software and hardware interaction
  • Professional motorsport experience with knowledge of F1 SECU, ATLAS and System monitor would be advantageous
