Electronics Hardware Design Engineer

Williams Advanced Engineering are currently recruiting for an Electronics Hardware Design Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the Principal Electronics Engineer, this is a key role where the successful individual will be supporting the full life cycle of WAE’s electronic hardware products, including high reliability hardware design, test and production. The fast pace of WAE projects will also require hardware support in challenging time frames and across a variety of industry sectors.

Duties will be wide ranging and varied and include firmware development in C and VHDL (Xilinx tools preferred) and firmware verification in VHDL/System Verilog or similar.

The successful candidate will develop and test power electronics (DCDC converters, 3ph inverters) and have experience working in automotive/aerospace or similar highly regulated industry. An understanding of Designing Analog / digital hardware, schematic capture in Cadence / Altium or similar would be advantageous.

You will have an electronics degree or equivalent and experience of electronics test and manufacture.
