Electronics Design Coordinator

OVERVIEW: The Electronics Design Coordinator will support multiple engineering teams with the management and processing of engineering data and documentation. Core responsibilities include: managing part number generation & tracking, Change Request submissions, Change Notice processing, creating drawing release packages, part database management (cost, weight, etc), part library management, Bill of Material creation. Other responsibilities, dependent on candidate skills and interests may include CAD design, modifying drawings, parts ordering & inventory management, tracking tool periodic maintenance schedules.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & SKILLS:

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to clearly communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing
  • Able to perform in a dynamic and fast paced environment

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma
  • Microsoft Office Certifications preferred
  • Windchill/Creo Certifications preferred

DESIRED SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
  • Experience with various CAD packages, especially Creo / Windchill

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Typical office environment working conditions
  • Occasionally moving, packing & unpacking boxes less than 50lb

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

  • Flexible work schedule
  • 40 hours per week with occasional overtime required

PREFERRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: In addition to the items mentioned above, the ideal candidate may possess but not limited to all the following:

  • Ability to read & understand engineering drawings
  • Understanding of engineering change management processes
  • Experience managing Bill of Materials, part numbers & revision levels
  • Experience purchasing & managing inventory
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems and components

This position will require lawful access to ITAR/EAR controlled information and employees in this role will need to meet those requirements. Requirements include US Citizenship, US Permanent Resident or ability to meet licensure requirements.
