Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician

This is an exciting opportunity for a multi skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Composites Technology Centre located in Sheffield, on a permanent basis.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering effective and efficient reactive, preventative and predictive maintenance. You will also be responsible for improvements, installations, inspections, documentation, fault finding and other engineering tasks. Therefore, you will be an experienced fault finder on electrical, mechanical and fluid power systems with a good grasp of preventative maintenance processes.

You will ensure that your activities comply with health, safety and environmental requirements. You will establish and develop successful working relationships with a network of local and international suppliers. You will work with contracting resources and OEM’s to perform a variety of tasks. You will be supporting Research and Development work on future models by providing support, ideas and bespoke items required to develop new processes. You will monitor and react to feedback from equipment monitoring systems.

Electrics: Fault finding, Testing,Installation Inspection, Functional Testing.

PLC’s: Fault finding, Maintenance, Component replacement, Small Program Mods, Siemens experience preferred.

Hydraulics: Fault finding, Component replacement, installation and pneumatics, piping, pump and unit repair.

Robotics: Fault finding and Re-Programming, Maintenance, Servo-drive related tasks and inspections.

Mechanical: Fitting, Maintenance, Workshop, Machining, bench fitting, inspection, functional testing, small fabrication/ welding tasks and installation.

You will have proficient experience in Engineering and Maintenance ideally gained within a manufacturing environment and be familiar with Building Services / Facilities: e.g. Compressed air system, AHU, HVAC. You will have experience working with Computerised Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) included in this should be spares, consumables and equipment management.
