An opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Test Engineer to join the Test Operations Team. This is a permanent position where you will be responsible for providing engineering specification, implementation and delivery of ERS and Electrical Test Capabilities and Test Requests.

- Deliver Facility capability solutions to support rapid development of ERS and Electrical systems
- Support ERS Test Requests optimising facility capability and capacity w.r.t production, durability and development test
- Support the department strategy in management, handling and testing of hybrid systems and components
- Apply a pragmatic and robust application of Electricity at Work legislation to support a fast paced R&D environment
- Liaise with Contractors and Suppliers to deliver complex Test Rig and Infrastructure projects
- Support problem solving and fault resolution activities in the Electrical Engineering field, affecting all test facilities
- Provide Engineering input to best practice maintenance, calibration and operational procedures
- This role is both analytical and practical, requiring the successful candidate to not only design testing solutions, but often be involved in the assembly, configuration and execution of the tests.

- AVL Puma Open / Concerto / Indication (User and embedded) – desirable

- Planning, prioritising and organising
- Communicating effectively; delivering difficult messages in a timely and efficient manner that allows progress to be made
- Working with a wide range of Engineers and Technicians
- Working under pressure and flexibly support testing requirements
Have experience of…
- Specification, design and commissioning of test infrastructure to meet a variety of test requirements
- With hybrid powertrain test systems, used for testing of motors, power electronics and/or battery packs
- Applying first-principles understanding and practical application of Electrical and Mechanical systems used to test motorsport, automotive or industrial products/subsystems
Demonstrate knowledge of…
- Control and automation, measurement systems and data acquisition, sensors and actuators
- Relevant Electrical regulations and practical implementation
Hold these qualifications…
- Electrical Engineering Degree, BEng or MEng (2:1 or above)
- Desirable - Relevant Industrial Qualifications including 17th Edition Wiring Regs
