ELECTRIC VEHICLE POWERTRAIN ENGINEER

Within the Powertrain Group, the role of Electric Vehicle Powertrain Engineer  involves an array of responsibilities to drive the strategies for future electric vehicle architectures and define the technical regulations across a wide range of FIA championships.

Missions will require in-depth expertise in motor and high-voltage battery technologies, electric vehicle architectures and systems and energy recovery control strategies.

MISSIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The holder of this position will have a central role in all FIA activities related to electric vehicle systems, and in particular:

Take ownership and manage complex technical projects to contribute to building a roadmap for electric vehicle motor and battery systems in various racing series.

Contribute to the definition and evolution of powertrain regulations related to electric vehicles.

Conduct technical audits to assess the compliance of competitors’ powertrain systems with FIA regulations.

Manage powertrain trackside procedures and tools for various electric vehicle series.

PROFILE:

The successful candidate must hold an electrical and powertrain engineering degree and have at least five years post-graduate experience in motor sport involving relevant track support activities.

He/she must have proven in-depth experience in the management of complex technical projects and significant experience related to energy recovery control strategies and data analysis. The expertise that he/she will bring related to high and low voltage electrical systems, energy storage technologies, and hydrogen and fuel cell technologies will enable the development of the activities of the FIA as the motor sport governing body.

Fluency in both spoken and written English is required.

Position based in Geneva with worldwide travel to attend races and tests.
