EE Vehicle System Validation Engineer

As an EE Vehicle System Validation Engineer, you’ll be working with some of the industry’s brightest minds to ensure electrical functionality of prototype vehicles, troubleshoot ECU issues, coordinate across teams to drive issues to resolution, and design and perform feature tests on vehicles.

You’ll be building a labcar (breadboard) using prototype components to ensure all systems work as intended, diagnose and resolve issues, and gain an in-depth knowledge into both vehicle and system level capabilities that very few other people in the company will have. You will assist in generating a test specification, monitor testing, document results, and report them to the responsible design team.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience to electrical device development. Position level will be dependent on level of education, years of experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Strong technical, communication, and analytical abilities.
  • Strong familiarity with vehicle CAN, LIN, and Ethernet systems, electrical harnesses, and debugging.
  • Read Electrical schematic and harness 2D drawings.
  • Proven expertise and passion for troubleshooting and finding root causing issues.
  • A willingness to oversee an issue from start to finish with minimal oversight.
  • The ability to be versatile and flexible in your workflow.
  • Can quickly create and lead cross-team task forces to resolve issues.
  • Assist in the testing of various components in the vehicle to assure proper functionality.
  • Ability to produce timely, logical and concise work products.
  • Ability to handle concurrent programs.
  • Ability to work effectively independently, in a team. or collaborative environment
  • Knowledge of basic Vehicle EE architecture including CAN, LIN, Ethernet, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven expertise with CANalyzer (or similar) and Python.
  • Proven expertise in IoV, ECU, ADAS, LiDAR.
  • A history in leadership and project management.
  • Proven history of successfully working across multiple projects.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and changing deadlines.
  • Able to occasionally travel to exciting places to support vehicles.
