Job Description

Basic Description: 

  • This position will work with the NPD and Sustaining teams to accurately create and maintain documentation for our products.

Essential Functions: 

  • Duties include but not limited to modification and creation of test sheets, Engineering Change Orders (ECO's), create and/or revise part numbers, Bill of Material (BOM), create and/or revise drawings.
  • Be the documentation liaison between Engineering, Materials, Marketing, Service and Accounting teams as well as internal and external suppliers.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Publication department, Engineering, Service and Marketing teams to create and revise Owner's Manuals, Technical Manuals, and Field instructions.
  • Understands implications and strategy to form, fit, and function for ECO's
  • Participate in Documentation Technician meetings to stay informed of and implement changes to documentation standards.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree required with 5+ years of experience preferred.
  • Must be extremely detail oriented, organized, and willing to seek out information to ensure full and accurate documentation.
  • Must be computer proficient and have experience with Macola, Omnify, and Magic software platforms, and transition to future ERP system.
  • Must possess great communication and prioritization skills, be a self-starter, work efficiently with minimal supervision, and perform well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of how products are manufactured to be able to structure BOMs properly.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of our ECO process
  • Must poses drafting Skills
  • Must be Proficient at AutoCad
  • Must be proficient at SolidWorks
  • Must be proficient at Omnify
