Role Overview

Fisker is looking for a Director, Operations to lead our Facilities and Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for owning the development, execution, and day-to-day operations of Fisker’s Real Estate footprint both for our workforce and our public Experience Centers, service centers, our partners facilities and general infrastructure renovations and upgrades. This role will also oversee overall corporate workflow, process, and operations, collaborating closely with leaders from across Fisker in creating efficient, compliant, and value-add ways of working across various teams. This also includes supporting implementation and operations as a matrix organization and supporting all facilities with IT, HR, compliance, regulatory, training and any needs that require optimal operations for our stakeholders and experience for our employees, partners and customers.  

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Facility Operations of all of Fisker’s Real Estate including several company offices, warehouses, and Retail Experience Centers. 
  • Perform regular evaluation of Fisker facilities and manage facilities and maintenance processes to provide cost effective and compliant services.
  • Outline and own an overall Facilities budget ensuring that business objectives are met and that the facilities, maintenance, and EHS team will have appropriate/adequate funds for its operation.
  • Develops processes to ensure compliance with all SOX requirements
  • Ensure the security / safety of all Fisker facilities. 
  • Provide leadership to a team of Facilities and Operations professionals, create a roadmap of team goals and objectives, and continually scale the team alongside the company’s growth and Operations footprint 
  • Ensure environmental, health and safety regulatory compliance, training, audits, and continuous improvement.
  • Drives and proactively promote behaviors which result in zero incident safety culture throughout Fisker
  • Maintain accurate records of the condition of the equipment and other systems in the building.
  • Ownership and development of policies and procedures as related to facilities, maintenance and EHS.
  • Manage waste disposal programs, both hazardous and non-hazardous.
  • Develop back-up or alternative systems for common risks such as power shortages, flooding, tornados, inclement weather, etc.
  • Responsible for outside contractor training program and compliance while working at Fisker sites.
  • Responsible for contractor selection and management of vendors in conjunction with purchasing to provide cost effective solutions.
  • Liaise closely with Legal, Purchasing, HR, IT, Sales and Service, and other teams as appropriate on all Operations matters. 
  • Assess process and procedure across the corporate functions to ensure we are working efficiently, assess and make recommendations as appropriate. 

Basic Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience

  • 10+ years managing a variety of Facilities and holding Operations responsibility
  • Proven experience helping organizations scale operationally from start-up to maturity
  • Understanding of capital expenditure management and experience managing a large Operational budget
  • Bachelor’s degree in an EHS, construction or facilities management related field from an accredited institution or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of Safety and Compliance measures in-place for public and workplace facilities 
  • Solid technical background in EHS, process safety management (PSM) and Conduct of Operations.
  • Team leadership experience
