Role Overview
As a digital company that manages the entire car ownership lifecycle through our Apps and Website, providing a frictionless, innovative, integrated experience will be paramount. You will be a key leader on the Information Technology (IT) team reporting to the head of Digital and IT, where you will build capabilities, environments, processes spanning traditional IT Infrastructure including Data Centers, Networks, Cloud-based IaaS and PaaS, remote facility Infrastructures.
Job Responsibilities
As the Director of Infrastructure, you will:
- Hire, motivate, develop, and retain a high-performance team.
- Collaborate proactively and constructively within IT peers and with other Fisker stakeholders.
- Obtain, negotiate, and manage business relations across several key IT vendors.
- Serve as a key member on the IT leadership team.
- Develop and manage to KPIs, metrics and SLAs for IT Infrastructure and Services
Skills and Experiences
- Experience in IT compliance including SoX, SOC2 and GDPR
- Ability to travel and work on-site in US and the EU and needed.
- Experience in deploying remote site Infrastructures and managing remote employees
- Experience in High Performance Computing and Virtualization
- Experience in multiple cloud providers/platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Experience running ITL change and release management processes.
- Experience running ITIL Incident Mgmt and Problem Mgmt processes.
- Experience designing, delivering, and managing IT BCP and IT DR programs.
- Experience proactive Monitoring/Alerting systems for App and Infra delivery assurance.
- Experience in project management. Strong Scrum management skills preferred.
- Experience in specific technologies preferred:
- Linux Operating Systems
- DevOps and Config Mgmt tools (Ansible, Terraform Cloud, Jenkins, Git)
- Compute (Windows, Linux, VMWare, Bare Metal)
- Serverless compute
- IAM & MDM (OKTA, O365 Active Directory, WorkspaceOne)
- Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (AWS Workspaces, VMWare Horizon)
- Service Delivery/Management (Jira, ServiceNow)
Qualifications
- 15 Years experience in IT Infrastructure and DevOps
- 3+ Years managing IT Infrastructure teams of 5+ individuals.
- A BS or MS in Computer Science or Engineering is preferred
