DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS

Reporting to the CEO, this new role will lead the FiA's strategic communications and public affairs engagement.
The ideal candidate should be a leader with excellent interpersonal and team building skills, focussed on driving inclusive growth and invested in developing team members and the capabilities of the organisation.

MISSIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Help design and deliver a new communications strategy and public affairs engagement plan for the FIA
- Lead an international team to deliver effective communications on behalf of all FIA members
- Work with colleagues and members to communicate and deliver the policy aims of the organisation as part of a structured process
- Provide strategic reactive communications
- Improve internal member and employee facing communications
- Drive targeted growth through new media channels prioritizing analytics and brand awareness
- Represent FIA Member's interests at a global level with key stakeholders
- Provide counsel and briefing support to senior FIA officials
- Enhance the lobbying capabilities of the Federation with industry, governments, and international bodies
- Continuous progress reporting to the CEO and senior leadership against defined KPIs

PROFILE:

- Senior professional with not less than 15/20 years' experience in communications and public affairs at an agency or in-house with at least 5/10 years in a senior position
- Strong ability to manage a team and to work in a multicultural environment
- Superb written and oral communication skills
- A proven track record in social media and digital engagement
- A Proven lobbying track record in complex legislative environments including the EU
- A global perspective in the context of key issues in mobility and motorsport that will allow him/her to quickly understand the policy direction of the Federation
- Native level English proficiency
- Graduate ideally to post graduate level
- A highly analytical mindset, strong team spirit, organisational skills, capable of working to deadlines and establishing efficient processes
