JOB TITLE: Digital Print & Installation Specialist

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, which fields professional race teams in the NTT IndyCar Series and IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship is seeking a Digital Print and Installation Specialist to support the graphics production and installation process across the team’s various assets and intellectual property. This specialist needs to be able to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment and be determined to make every project his or her absolute best. Day to day operation includes file preparation, printing & lamination, cutting, weeding , masking in addition to exceptional graphic application of wraps & decals on cars, transporters and other various equipment and substrates. This position reports directly to the Creative Director and will be a key conduit in bringing to life the visual identity of RLL and its Partners wherever the team competes. Some weekends and occasional travel may be required.

PRIMARY DAY TO DAY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

  • Large format graphic production & inventory including file preparation, color correction, & finishing processes including, but not limited to lamination, cutting, weeding, trimming & covering of decals
  • Quality control and maintenance of all relevant equipment, tools, materials & workspaces
  • Installation of various graphics materials on race team assets including: race cars, pit equipment, team vehicles and transporters, temporary set-ups, IMS garages, team hospitality equipment and other items as appropriate, etc.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a high performing team.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, late evenings and weekends on occasion to prepare equipment for race competitions
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to work between two race shop locations in Indianapolis, IN and Hilliard, OH as needed
  • Removal of graphics and surface preparation as required

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Working knowledge of graphics production software including VersaWorks, Illustrator & Photoshop
  • Working knowledge of graphic printers (Roland) & laminators
  • Working knowledge of cutting, preparing and applying vinyl graphics
  • Ability to wrap panels and complex parts with various films
  • Working knowledge of chemicals and solvents used in the graphics removal and installation process
