Digital Marketing Manager

Role Purpose:

To drive acquisition and retention for Autosport.com Plus, Motorsport.com Prime and motorsport.tv through innovative digital multi-channel campaigns.

To act as the product owner for motorsport.com Prime and Autosport Plus and work with editorial on strategy and development of the editorial proposition.

To act as product owner and work with the development teams to implement strategic changes to the product; how it is sign-posted on the site, the customer journey and marketing execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a full marketing plan for acquisition and retention for Autosport.com Plus, Motorsport.com Prime and motorsport.tv
  • Full marketing budgeting and forecasting responsibilities
  • Report on financial and campaign performance metrics
  • Monitor acquisition costs and strive to reduce them
  • Manage agency performance on your channels
  • Build relationships with external partners and seek opportunities to work together
  • Work with the editorial teams on editorial content lead marketing initiatives
  • Work with editorial to ensure the marketing collateral utilises forthcoming editorial content
  • Work with editorial to develop the editorial proposition for the brands, ensuring that content is used from across the network
  • Work closely with internal partners within Motorsport Network to identify and develop opportunities
  • Always present work which adheres to direct marketing principles
  • To work on individual projects as agreed with your manager

Key Deliverables:

  • Deliver the subscription volume and revenue targets set for Autosport.com Plus, Motorsport.com Prime and motorsport.tv in the budget forecasts
  • Implement test and learn based digital marketing activity for acquisition and retention
  • Support the marketing activity for the brands across Motorsport Network
  • Ensure campaigns are targeted and integrated, primarily using online but may include offline, direct marketing tools
  • Analyse activity and feed into future plans and forecasts
  • Work with the wider Direct Marketing and Analytics team to ensure customer communications, retention and acquisitions are coherent and consistent
  • Implement additional digital marketing activity required by the Network, e.g. across data generation, email newsletters, events

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Experience of cross channel subscriptions or membership marketing
  • Monitoring budget and spend
  • Collaborative skills
  • Excellent creative skills and copywriting experience
  • Direct Marketing qualification (desirable)
  • Superb attention to detail
  • Experience of integrated and targeted direct marketing campaigns (both on and offline), and understanding of direct marketing channels
  • Desirable – previous project management experience
  • Desirable – previous product management experience

Knowledge

Required:

  • At least five years experience of direct and digital marketing in a subscriptions role (not restricted to print subscriptions)

Qualifications Required:

  • Marketing degree or equivalent
