DEVELOPMENT ENGINEERS - Mechanical

Ilmor Engineering are recruiting for current projects and future Initiatives.  We have a successful track record in the technologically advanced design, manufacture, and production of race engines at the very highest levels of motorsport.   With Electric, Hybrid and IC Engine projects spanning the Racing, Automotive and Marine sectors, we have diverse opportunities within our Engineering Departments.

We are looking for experienced Development Engineers to get immediately involved with a wide range of projects looking at the performance and mechanical development of high performance engines for racing and other non-racing engine projects.

 

You must be able to demonstrate:

  • Minimum three years post graduate experience in the field of engine development
  • A good degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and IC engine systems
  • In depth knowledge of full engine dynamometer and sub-system rig testing
  • A high level of competence in planning and executing testing activities, analysing data and reporting findings in a clear and succinct manner
  • Knowledge of combustion pressure measurements and data analysis (e.g. AVL Indicom)
  • An ability to design development components is desirable (CAD training can be provided)
