Duties / Responsibilities (Including Objectives of the role):
To provide Design Support Function enabling the smooth running of principally Modelling/Milling and other Design functions within the Studios
Varied multi functional duties to include but not limited to:
- To maintain a clean and tidy working areas within the Studios and ensure SHE principles are followed
- To ensure Modelling Machine-shop machinery is maintained at a basic level arranging service when appropriate
- To ensure consumables are maintained - order / re-orders as appropriate to ensure the smooth running
- To undertake varied supporting tasks in preparation for day to day working + Design Reviews + Visitors + Events etc.
- To undertake the movement of Models, Parts, Design Screens, Materials etc, in support of the Studios
- To arrange dispatch / delivery / receipt of model, parts, samples etc. for Design teams - on or off-site as required.
- To undertake some off-site deliveries or duties as appropriate to support Design activities
Qualifications and Experience (Essential & Desirable criteria)
Essential
- Flexible approach to duties and work patterns to meet Design project deadlines
- Able to prioritise from varied tasks often autonomously
- Pro-active "can do" attitude
- Calm under pressure and of a pleasant character
- Reliable with good timekeeping
- Strong appreciation for confidentiality with Design environments
Desirable
- Driving Licence
- Forklift Qualified (Training can be given)
- Stringo trained (training can be given)
- Banksman trained (training can be given)
- Experience with basic tools /light machinery (training can be given if required)
