Design Engineer - Pit Equipment

Ours is a story of ingenuity and relentless technical development. Of grit, and heroism, and human endeavour. Of knowing and believing that we’re only at our best when we’re at our bravest. Of moving fearlessly forward. Always.

So, we’re taking the pursuit of better seriously. We have huge plans for our future. We’re making incredible things happen.

Right now, we’re looking for a Design Engineer to push us further than ever, faster than ever. To tackle F1 racing’s biggest challenges with humility. To make the most of our open culture. To own the next chapter in our story.

In this role, you’ll play a key role in designing all of our aesthetic and operational garage and pit stop equipment. It’s about taking ownership of all design projects, from concept stage through to track sign off, and you’ll focus on maximising pit stop performance, race car set up and equipment design, and fault diagnosis and resolution. Plus, you’ll also discover opportunities to get involved in chassis, bodywork, suspension and transmission component design, including the design of jigs and tooling components.

Day to day, you’ll work closely with Race Engineering, Vehicle Design and Logistics and Marketing teams, so you’ll need a degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering or similar, a background in racing car components and systems, and ideally F1 experience.

You’ll also have an excellent knowledge of composite and metallic materials and manufacturing techniques, the ability to use 3D CAD software, especially CATIA, an understanding of PLM systems, and a proactive approach to communicating, solving problems, and meeting deadlines.
