Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Generate 3D models, Assemblies, and 2D drawings including defining and documenting manufacturing information.
- Discuss with other engineers or defense personnel, to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, or provide technical feedback.
- Consult with business development personnel and customers, in the field for training and problem solving.
- Consult with Government organizations on testing and documentational requirements.
- Close collaboration with internal and external manufacturing departments to ensure accurate and timely manufacturing can occur.
- Ensure solutions meet functional safety and reliability requirements.
- Ensure that agreed internal methodologies and procedures are followed and that a high quality of work is maintained.
- Timely reporting of analysis results in a clear, concise, and structured manner.
- Participate in the development of new projects from conceptual ideas through to implementation.
- Thorough knowledge of lightweight structures and load path analysis
- Develop full knowledge of our in-house product lines.
- Be a role model for the mindsets and behaviors necessary to create an environment of trust, participation, and accountability.
- Be a mentor to Junior Engineers within the Department
- Possess a strong, but diverse, problem-solving skillset.
- Feel comfortable with a dynamic, fast-paced, highly variable business.
- A good knowledge of Automotive Electrical systems would be an advantage.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Education: bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Aerospace, or Automotive Engineering required.
- Experience: 5 Years of experience in a Motorsports, Military, or Automotive environment is required.
- Past Car racing engineering experience and the knowledge of the culture and speed to market for products in this environment would be looked on favorably.
- Exceptional candidate with less experience may be considered.
- Computer Skills: NX CAD or related design software. Ansys or related FEA software. Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 helpful
- ITAR: Must be a US/Canadian citizen or Green card holder.
