Role Purpose:
- Manage the picture desk during Formula E race weekends, controlling the workflow for the team and directly speak with photographers and clients to make sure each client brief is fulfilled for the weekend.
- Deputise for the Chief Picture Editor in their absence, both for office and management duties as well as the running of Formula One race weekends.
- Work as part of the social media team to plan and ensure a supply of high quality live photography is available during weekend events
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all workflows of the live desk during FE races, both via other members of the team and with external clients.
- Fully understanding all client briefs for a race weekend, speaking to photographers to ensure all aspects have been achieved.
- Supporting photographers on a race weekend.
- Monitoring client feeds to ensure the correct imagery has been sent to the correct clients.
- Day to day database administration to keep MSI and client-specific websites updated and organised.
- Training staff when necessary to ensure they are up to the high standard required for a FE race weekend.
Key Deliverables:
- Experience working on a busy live picture desk
- Excellent communication.
- A high standard of work, paying attention to detail in all areas.
- Accurately and confidently edit and caption other photographers’ images at a very fast pace.
- Work to a photographic brief to find and package the photography our clients need.
Qualifications Required:
- A-level, Diploma, or HND-equivalent in some kind of photographic or computing discipline preferred.
- Full UK Driving license
