Customer Tech Support - Automotive Industry

CG Motorsports is looking for a Customer Tech Support with a positive and fun attitude towards work who is an Automotive enthusiast! Experience in the Automotive industry or Auto lover and enthusiast is required.

With over 30 years of manufacturing experience, CG Motorsports offers the best quality performance lighting products at an affordable cost. All CG Motorsports products are SAE and D.O.T. compliant to FMVSS No. 108; and manufactured in our state-of-the-art ISO 9002 and QS 9000 quality certified factory. Our lighting products are designed using CAD/CAM computerized equipment and these modern designs are then tested using 3-dimensional testing machine to ensure precision and accuracy in the research, development, and design of our molds.

Customer Tech Support Job Description:

  • Undergo training provided, and maintain current knowledge of all headlight, LED products and technical support procedures in order to provide accurate solutions to customers
  • Strong written and verbal skills are necessary for interacting with customers.
  • Must be able to speak effectively with both non-technical end-users as well as automotive tech users
  • Provide quality telephone and email support with a high degree of technical expertise, customer service, and timeliness
  • Accurately document customer information and a detailed problem/issue description of all support calls/emails
  • Must be comfortable with extensive on-the-phone consultations
  • Demonstrate experience in problem resolution and technical problem identification
  • Requires strong attention to detail, outstanding resourcefulness, flexibility and the ability to work independently as well as within a team setting
  • Work independently to solve support issues. Escalate issues to second level support and management only when necessary
  • Contribute to the support knowledge base as familiarity with the product line is gained
  • Resolves customer problems, disputes and complaints in an efficient, professional manner and according to company policy.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years of Technical Support and Customer Service experience in a call center environment
  • Mechanical reasoning ability and demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
  • Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Automotive Industry experience OR Automotive Enthusiast is required (Must know about cars in a technical/mechanical way)
