Coordinator, Racing Communications

NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Coordinator, Racing Communications based in Daytona, FL.

The Coordinator, Racing Communications provides communication services to the Racing Communications team and company at-track Competition division.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Compile, edit and package audio, photography and statistical content and successfully upload to NASCAR’s media website (NASCARMedia.com) in the office during the regular work week, at home and at-track during select race weekends in support of all company business units.
  • Write and edit written materials, including but not limited to press releases, pitch documents, award submissions, message points, traditional media monitoring and campaign recap reports.
  • Develop storyline content and statistics, pitch documents/letters/notes and all other activities relevant to proactive media relations, regionally and nationally
  • Provide proactive media relations in advance of national and designated Weekly and Touring series events
  • Serve as content, statistical operations or media outreach lead for race events, including traveling to select races; up to 30% including weekend travel.
  • Assist in communications and distribution of at-track press conference communications and press releases
  • Support internal communications with content development for and final design of Garage Talk newsletters, Inside Track employee website, and other internal communications projects as required.
  • Support broader Communications team in the execution of special projects as assigned, including end-of-year awards ceremonies, the Drive 4 Diversity program and Media Days in support of major events
  • Actively participate and contribute to the development of Racing Communications marketing / communication plans, ideation sessions and weekly all-IMC outreach and team meetings.

Required skills / experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university and a minimum 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • The ability to be trained in Zoom, Photoshop, In Design and Adobe Audition.
  • Must have strong communication skills, along with exceptional writing and grammar skills.
  • Attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management skills.
