Control Systems Engineer

Red Bull Advanced Technologies is currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Control Systems Engineer to develop chassis and powertrain control systems (traction control, torque vectoring, active aerodynamics, ABS) for an electric high performance vehicle.

 

We are looking for someone to prototype control systems code using MATLAB / Simulink, to test control systems code on a dSpace HIL Rig and driver-in-the-loop simulator environment, and to create and manage requirements documents.

 

You will be required to compile and test application software and support track testing of the control systems code on the prototype vehicle. You will be expected to work in accordance with Red Bull Advanced Technologies system design process, liaising with other engineers to ensure the system specifications are met, and to test and validate designs in line with specification and regulatory requirement.

 

To be successful in this role, you will need to be competent in the use of MATLAB / Simulink, have proven experience in high-end motorsport, aeronautical or automotive control systems design and development and have experience creating system requirements and specification documentation, project timing and budget planning.  You will also need to take pride in completing work on time, have an interest in learning new techniques, continual personal development and a passion for high-end engineering.
