Composites Technician

Pratt & Miller is currently looking for Composites Technicians. A successful Composites Technician will be able to read, interpret, and build from assembly, engineering, and process specifications. Job responsibilities can include manual fabrication of composite parts, cutting and trimming of materials, tooling prep and maintenance, over operation, and more.

Ideal candidates would have 2 + years relevant experience. In lieu of experience, Pratt & Miller is willing to provide on the job training for candidates with mechanical ability and a desire to learn.Candidates with a basic knowledge of auto body concepts, who demonstrate the ability to learn quickly, are preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Produce composite components using the following materials:

  • Fiberglass
  • Aramid (Nomex & Kevlar)
  • Carbon Fiber
  • Other Advanced Carbon Materials

Techniques performed include:

  • Wet lay-up
  • Prepreg lay-up
  • Metal-to-Metal Bonding Utilizing Vacuum Bagging
  • Other Advanced Techniques
