Composites Team Leader

The position:

We are looking to recruit a Composites Team Leader who will be responsible for the daily shift management to support the production of high-quality tools and components in time to meet the demands set out by the production plans for the Formula One race car as well as external customers.

The role:

This is an exciting role within a busy department. You will assist in making sure all employees are informed and working to the set KPI's and work proactively to help improve the composite department

Core competencies:

  • Ensuring technical procedures / QA documentation / work orders and sign offs are adhered to.
  • Produce quality components to drawing adhering to Company standards.
  • Manage shift capacity to complete the set objectives/goals.
  • Communicating with all customers making sure we are all aligned with expectations.
  • Adhering to the NCR process closing and reassigning where necessary.
  • Using the new MPI issues to assign lost time/improvements to the manufacturing process.
  • Keeping the staff motivated and proactive at all times, organising their day to day work
  • Liaise regularly with Departments/Production Controllers that feed/are fed by Composites
  • To have the ability to demonstrate resilience under pressure.
  • Setting goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company’s vision.
  • Organising workflow and ensuring that employees understand their duties and tasks
  • Monitoring employee productivity and mentoring in accordance to the skills matrix.
  • Leading quality and continuous improvement measures.

Core Skills:

The successful candidate will have the relevant skills and qualifications to support the role of a Composites Supervisor, as well have come from a similar environment.
