Composite Technician - Nights

Williams’ core competencies are the design and development of racing cars to compete in the Formula One World Championship. As one of the world's leading Formula One teams, the company has secured 16 FIA Formula One World Championship titles since its foundation in 1977.

The position:

Due to an expansion of shifts within our Composites Teams, we are looking to recruit several Composite Technicians to join our team.

 

  • Mon-Thur - Nights or 4 on 4 off Nights 

Would you like to play a vital role in a team which contributes to the race car components? Working in the Composites Department this role will ensure high quality components and other composite assemblies are produced in the most efficient, cost effective way whilst keeping lead-times to a minimum.

The role:

This is a varied role in an exciting and fast paced environment and to succeed you will need to be adaptable, demonstrate initiative along with the ability to work as a team to meet tight deadlines. Problem-solving, along with attention to detail and a can-do attitude, are key attributes that bring success to the role. With a collaborative approach, good communications and organization skills, you will enjoy working as part of a team and relish a challenge.

Skills you'll use every day:

The successful candidate will have a good level of knowledge around manufacturing technology relating to composite components. Operationally you will ideally have experience with mould making, component manufacture and trimming and fitting. They will be required to liaise with other departments such as the Drawing Office; therefore, good written and verbal communication skills are essential to the success of this role.

Core Skills:

Candidates will possess a recognised apprenticeship or relevant experience in a similar environment as well as demonstrable skills in at least two of the following -

Trimming
Fitting
Assembly
Laminating
