Composite Production Engineer

The position:

We are looking to recruit a Composite Production Engineer to join our team of production engineers who act as a bridge between Design and Manufacturing, ensuring that the best end to end business process outcomes are achieved.

The role:

This varied role will include developing and supporting existing and emerging composite manufacturing processes, methodologies and technologies to promote class leading engineering.

  • Composite Design Liaison and Design for Manufacture
  • Manufacturing Process and Continuous Improvement
  • Manufacturing Capability Development
  • Planning and Customer Support
  • Quality and Supplier Engagement
  • Business Continuity.

Key skills and experience:

  • A wide understanding of composite manufacturing processes to effectively plan and manage the production of engineering products.
  • Experience with motorsport, automotive or aerospace/defence type components and projects.
  • A background of successfully working to tight deadlines and short lead times in a small volume manufacturing environment making complex high quality and value components would be a significant advantage.
  • Able to demonstrate understanding of a variety of composite manufacturing methods, lean manufacturing principles and be constantly looking to improve on existing practices and techniques.
  • Be self-motivated and able to work to deadlines with minimal supervision and instruction.
  • Able to work within a team environment, be able to communicate well and work closely with other members of the engineering and manufacturing teams
  • Must have a deep technical background and experience of composite production environments, either in a practical capacity or a Production Engineering role.
