Under the direction of Lawrence Tomlinson (a previous Le Mans winner no less), the Ginetta family has well and truly made its mark on the international racing scene. With five in-house racing championships, one of the most decorated GT4 cars on the market and a forthcoming LMP1 project, the future is looking bright.
We are committed to providing opportunities for budding engineers, and now have an opportunity for a laminator to join our carbon team.
Our carbon shop is right at the heart of what we do here in our factory. Our top class racing cars are made on site at our head office in Garforth and start their journey to stardom right here in our carbon shop. Playing a crucial part in Ginetta car and parts production, the successful applicant will be required to hand laminate various composite components to the specifications provided by project engineers. Parts will need to be prepared for oven and autoclave processing using our vacuum bagging process.
Working closely with our in-house design and development team, you will need to consult on and seek resolution of any quality issues which may arise.
You will need to handle composite materials, prepare tooling patterns and moulds using chemical sealers and release and therefore must be able to follow established safety procedures.
Our ideal employee will have
- Laminating experience, preferably in pre-preg but not essential
- A motorsport background but other sectors will be considered
- The ability to read and understand engineering drawings
