Composite Inspector - weekend night shift

We have a number of opportunities in our Composite Trim Shop for the weekend night shift, the hours are 7pm to 7.30am Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
A shift allowance is payable for working this shift.

In this role you will be responsible for ensuring all composite assemblies used by all departments conform to the requirements as set out in the Team’s technical specifications.

You must have the ability to write measuring programs and have a good basic understanding of Innovmetric Polyworks and have had experience in using Hexagon Metrology and Leica hardware. The ability to read and understand detailed engineering drawings whilst using more traditional measuring equipment to check components is a distinct advantage.

Being part of a small department, the need to ensure all supervisors are aware of current quality issues is paramount as well as keeping comprehensive but concise documentation of any issues arising from composite parts inspected from all the shifts is essential to make sure quality standards are upheld throughout the manufacturing process.
Previous experience of working with carbon fibre would be highly beneficial so as to assist colleagues and suppliers in understanding how to rectify issues with a mould or trimming whether it be an in-house component or from a supplier; a good level of communication will be required so that the issue in question can be described and quickly resolved with the least amount of disruption to the production schedule.

Your previous experience will have preferably been gained in either the Motorsport, Aerospace or similar industry.
