Composite Design Engineer

Ours is a story of ingenuity and relentless technical development. Of grit, and heroism, and human endeavour. Of knowing and believing that we’re only at our best when we’re at our bravest. Of moving fearlessly forward. Always.

So, we’re taking the pursuit of better seriously. We have huge plans for our future. We’re making incredible things happen.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Composite Design Engineer to join our Racing team.

In this role, you’ll play a key role in the design of composite components and tooling for our F1 race cars. It’s about taking ownership of all design projects, from concept stage through to sign off, and you’ll focus on the conceptual and detailed design of composite and metallic race car parts, including any manufacturing tooling required. You’ll be directly involved in the design of chassis, bodywork, wings and all crash structures. Plus, you’ll also discover opportunities to get involved in suspension and transmission component design.

Day to day, you’ll work closely with Race Engineering, Vehicle Design and Logistics and Marketing teams, so you’ll need a degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering or similar, a background in racing car components and systems, and ideally F1 experience.

You’ll also have an excellent knowledge of composite and metallic materials and manufacturing techniques, the ability to use 3D CAD software, especially CATIA v5, and a proactive approach to communicating, solving problems, and meeting deadlines.

Experience in an F1 environment is a big advantage, but you'll need to have experienced a similar environment before. It's full on here, but you love it when things are busy, and in this sometimes unforgiving F1 world, you aren't fazed under pressure.
