Composite Build Logistics Coordinator

An opportunity has arisen for a Composite Build Logistics Coordinator, reporting to the Composite Build Manager

 

The Composite Build department is responsible for the assembly, servicing & lifing of all Wings, Floors and Bodywork components which are sent to the circuit to Race, Test & Heritage events.

 

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Creating component selection for assemblies & communicate continuous updates of requirements with the build logistics & planning teams, when required.

  • Ensure all up-issues to components/assemblies are communicated, carried out & processed correctly.

  • Prioritise & liaise with other departments on the progress of assemblies throughout their processes, ensuring all departments are informed & work efficiently together.

  • Populate & maintain the production & turnaround plans to continuously communicate to all stakeholders & ensure components are tracking to the plan.

  • Assist the technicians with all aspects of SAP admin, to allow them to work as efficiently as possible, ensuring all records are accurate & any data discrepancies highlighted.

  • Actively support the logistics of composite parts and assemblies around the site, to support the composite build team.

  • Compile and filter damage & shortage information and work with planning & build logistics to ensure these requirements are understood & targets met.

  • Maintaining the stock levels of department consumables and ordering replacements when required.

  • Assist the comp build technicians with the loading, unloading & distribution of components during turnarounds.

Candidate profile:

  • Must be computer literate (SAP experience would be beneficial).

  • Must have a good understanding of processes, procedures and technical drawings.

  • Must have strong communication and people skills.

  • Flexibility in hours and a can-do approach is required, along with the ability to work in a team, under high pressure and to strict deadlines with minimum supervision.

  • Possess a willingness to assist with all aspects of day-to-day workload of the department.
