We have a new opportunity to be part of the Modelshop team in the role of Modelshop Component Finisher

 

The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, hardworking, flexible, proactive and have a ‘can do’ attitude.

 

Purpose:

To work within the Modelshop, Hand finishing wind tunnel model components to a high standard, creating bonded assemblies using components of various materials. Priming and painting of these components.

 

The Successful candidate must have the following attributes:

  • Good practical hand skills and attention to detail
  • Good understanding of paint finish applications
  • An understanding, and the ability to read technical drawings.
  • A methodical and thorough approach to your work.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, combined with the ability to work well with colleagues.
  • Be self-motivated, enthusiastic and a dependable team player.
  • Possess good IT skills.
  • Have a positive attitude and be willing to help throughout the department.
  • Work well under pressure to meet time critical deadlines.
  • Ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of and commitment to Health & Safety

This role is a weekday role on a 4-week rotating shift pattern and includes Early, Late and day shifts.
