We are looking to hire a Complete Vehicle Certification Engineer to join our Certification department within Engineering Technical Conformity.
The Certification team is responsible for the testing of Bentley vehicles to appropriate safety legislated standards, compiling evidence of these tests and ensuring the vehicles we sell are compliant. We work closely with many different areas of the business to ensure current and upcoming requirements are understood and engineered into our products in good time. The positions are for a technical engineering role within the department, to assist in the delivery of Worldwide homologation for all of the Bentley Models.
Reporting to the Functional Manager for Complete Vehicle Certification, the position holder will be responsible for:
- Overseeing vehicle certification for various specific safety and environmental subjects.
- Undertaking Type Approval/Certification of assigned subjects for all Company products in support of the Whole Vehicle Type Approval.
- Proactively providing support the functional feature and system owners to achieve compliant designs through their expert theoretical and practical legislation awareness and detailed understanding of assigned certification subjects.
- Working with functional system owners to ensure that all required component level approvals are obtained in a timely manner.
