Communications Coordinator

Responsible for creation of communication materials to dealer network for Yamaha Motorsports Group.

Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Communications Coordinator to join our Motorsports team in Marietta, GA. The Communications Coordinator is responsible for creation of communication materials to dealer network for Yamaha Motorsports Group. Projects include creation of sales bulletins, letters, dealer manuals, and other communications to the dealer network via electronic media or print. Job also includes managing Record Retention and Jsox requirements for these communication materials.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

Actively work with all departments to ensure that all dealer facing communications are completed in a timely manner and edited for content errors. Additionally, will be responsible for maintaining and updating the complete dealer communication calendar with deadlines for communication development.

Create sales bulletins and/or dealer manuals for publication to the Motorsports dealer network using Word Processing and/or Desktop publishing software. Work with Motorsports managers and other internal clients to develop guidelines and program parameters. Work with other departments within Yamaha or outside vendors as needed to create and deliver various communication projects.

Communicate messages (via YDS, fax, email, etc) to Motorsports Field Sales and Dealer Network, ensuring all work is approved and signed off prior to posting. Track communications volume and make suggestions for efficiency improvements as needed.

Maintain Jsox back-up for all communication, programs, and manuals for division.

Create and develop dealer communications using artistic/creative software to satisfy promotional activations from the marketing department to communicate to the dealers.

Research and propose new methods of dealer communications as it pertains to sales programs, dealer manuals and other technological notifications that place Yamaha at the forefront of dealer’s minds.

Assist in the development and execution of National Dealer Meetings, National Sales Meetings, and Dealer Engagement Events that occur throughout the year. Will work closely with the Dealer Network Communications Manager to execute onsite.

Serve as back-up for YMU team to offer account approval, phone, and email support for dealer staff on an as needed basis.

Provide proofreading and copyediting support for YMU training modules prior to publication to LMS.

Qualifications:

Excellent written communications skills required.

Must have experience with Microsoft Word (advanced level), PowerPoint (advanced level), and Excel (intermediate level).

B.A. degree in Communications/Journalism or related field with 2 years of relevant work experience required.

Must be self-motivated, have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure, deadline-oriented environment.

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite software ideal.

Reports to: Network Communications Manager.
