CNC Programmer

Our advanced CNC machining capabilities and committed machinists supports leading Motorsport, Automotive OEM’s and Defence customers globally with prototype and low volume components. Our machine shop incorporates the latest machining technology including MAZAK INTEGREX , VARIAXIS with High Speed 5 Axis Milling Machines to produce the complex machined cast components in aluminium, stainless steel and iron materials.

To support customer projects, we have exciting opportunity for an experienced Offline CNC Programmer to join our highly skilled machining team.

The Role:

  • Creating effective offline 5 Axis milling and turning programs usingAutodesk FeatureCAM software to machine a wide range of complex aluminum, Iron and steel prototype castings on MAZAK INTERGREX SMOOTH, VARIAXIS and Mills Doosan 5 Axis machining centers.
  • Design fixtures, create tooling sheets and set up instructions for machinists
  • Technically review new machining projects to provide accurate timings estimates for programming and machining cycle times with sales and production colleagues.
  • Identify and develop new CNC technology to maintain our position the leading foundry and machinists.

Qualification & Requirements:

  • You will have at least 5 years experience offline programming complex geometry components ideally in steel.
  • Proven experience creating programs and setting Mazak and Hedienheim controls would be a distinct advantage.
  • You must be able to work in a fast-paced rapid prototype Motorsport environment as part of a team and the ability to program to strict customer deadlines so will need to be flexible when required.

What we offer:

Salary: Permanent immediate position on days with an hourly rate of up to £19 per hour dependent upon experience and machining knowledge.

Holidays: 22 days (inclusive on Bank Holidays) per year.

Hours: Full-Time, 40 hrs per week. Plus potential overtime at 1 1/2 times hourly rate.

Pay: Starting at £45,000 per year increasing to £53,000 per year after 4 months of employment.
