Hours : Full-Time, 40 hrs per week. Plus potential overtime.
£30,000 - £40,000 per year, dependant upon experience and machining knowledge.
We are a market leading motorsport design and manufacturing facility, located in Silverstone, the hub of motorsport valley. Our advanced CNC machining capabilities and committed Team supports leading Motorsport and Automotive OEM's with prototype and low volume components. Our machine shop incorporates the latest machining technology including HAAS, Doosan 3 axis, Spinner and Hermle High Speed 5 axis milling machine centres to produce high tolerance, complex Billet components.
The Role:
- Creating effective offline 3 and 5 axis milling programs using OPEN MIND hyperMILL CAM software to machine a wide range of complex aluminium components on 3 axis HAAS & Doosan as well as the Spinner and Hermle 5 axis machining centres.
- Design fixtures, create tooling sheets and set up instructions for machinists.
- Technically review new machining projects to provide accurate timings estimates for programming and machining cycle times.
- You will have at least 2 years' experience offline programming complex geometry components. Ideally in hyperMILL, although experience in other packages would be considered.
- Excellent attention to detail, the ability to read technical drawings and will be proficient in CAM software.
- Proven experience creating programs and setting Haas, Siemens and Heidenhain controls would be a distinct advantage.
- You must be able to work in a fast-paced, rapid prototype Motorsport environment as part of a team and the ability to program to strict customer deadlines so will need to be flexible when required.
Holidays: 21 days (plus bank holidays) per year.
