Precise currently utilises predominantly DMG machining centres, 5 of which are 5 axis machines and allow us to machine jobs from any approach, with less setups and greater accuracy. Our DMG machines use Heidenhain controllers and Precise uses 2017 / 2018 Powermill Toolpath Programming software to program its cutter paths.
As much as possible, machines are programmed to run unattended into or through the nights and over weekends with programs and tool changes linked.
Ideally we seek a person who already has experience with DMG 5 axis machining and with Powermill programming skills however we are willing to train the right person, who has 3 or 4 axis machining and programming skills with a thirst for 5 axis.
