CNC Mastercam Programmer

Liaison between Design Engineering and internal and external manufacturing partners to develop and implement efficient, cost effective, and high quality manufacturing specifications and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise and support to CNC manufacturing staff.
  • Assist Design Engineering in determining technical specifications and quality requirements for manufactured parts.
  • Program machines using cam software.
  • Design and manufacture fixtures.
  • Collaborate with Design Engineering, Quality Assurance and Operations to create and maintain Bills of Materials, inspection plans and set up sheets.
  • Investigate operational problems affecting manufacturing, quality assurance, and production assembly.
  • Recommend improvements to manufacturing processes to improve performance, increase reliability, and decrease cost.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Manager and Purchasing Manager to select suppliers for new products and processes.
  • Work closely with machine tool, perishable tool suppliers and corporate partners to implement new products and processes and to resolve quality and delivery issues.

Job Qualifications

  • 5-10 Years of experience in a range of manufacturing technologies including, but not limited to; castings, forgings, machining, grinding and coating processes.
  • Must have project management skills and experience including new product development.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft products.
  • Experience and high level of knowledge of Master Cam or equivalent CAM software.
  • Must have experience in ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality systems and documentation.
  • Must have experience in material review board, corrective action procedures.
  • Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering is preferred.
