Renault Sport Racing have an opportunity to join our team at a tremendously exciting time in our history within Formula 1. As a CNC Machinist, you will be a part of the Aerodynamics division working with state of the art equipment contributing significantly to Renault Sport’s success on the track. You will be reporting to the Wind Tunnel CNC Supervisor and a part of a close knit and excellent team, where teamwork is paramount.
CNC Machinist – The Role
You will be manufacturing metallic and non-metallic parts for wind tunnel testing utilising a 5-axis CNC milling machine, CNC lathe, wire eroding machine and a manual milling machine. You will be responsible for producing CNC programmes ultimately for the production of model parts for wind tunnel testing. You will be working to tight deadlines working to the highest quality working in partnership with your team to ensure the best possible result.
This role is also run on a shift basis (6am to 2pm, 2pm to 10pm and 7.30am to 4.30pm) which we alternate week by week.
CNC Machinist – The Person
The ideal candidate requires time served applicants, with working experience as CNC operators/programmers with a sound mechanical background and knowledge of Heidanhain controllers with CATIA V5 experience. Attitude and flexibility are crucial to the success of the team and someone who has rounded experience and is keen to contribute to delivering excellence.
