Hammond Motorsport is currently looking for a CNC operator for our DeWitt shop.
This position requires operating a CNC lathe or mill in the production of an assortment of industrial parts. The operator will need the ability to lift to 50 pounds, have excellent hand eye coordination, be able to read numbers that go into the thousandth (0.123), and be able to read and follow simple directions for quality. While day to day operations remain similar, the parts and machines may vary, so the ability to adapt and learn is extremely important.
Typical responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Production of parts by use of CNC machines
- Following company "in-process inspections"
- Properly measuring final product using calipers, micrometers, and other quality assurance devices
- Minimizing scrap parts/materials
- Cleaning the machine and surrounding area
- Knowledge of 360 fusion CAD cam system
- Programming of both lathe and mill
- Able to lift 50 pounds frequently
