As a member of APG’s Executive Leadership Team, the Chief Information Officer will have a significant impact by bringing expertise and best practices to enhance all aspects of technology for APG and its divisions.

The APG CIO will focus strategically on our digital transformation journey to augment internal operational efficiencies, enhance external client experience, and expand market reach while managing the day to day tactical activities such as in-flight software development initiatives, infrastructure upgrades & cloud migrations, ERP updates & consolidation efforts, and cybersecurity.

Where you’ll spend your time:

The APG CIO will perform any functions necessary to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to internal and external customers:

  • Partner with the CEO and divisional presidents to determine short- and long-term needs.
  • Develop the strategic vision and plans for delivering IT services for internal and external customers to support the business in reaching its strategic goals.
  • Make recommendations on investments of technology solutions, operating models, organization structure, and requisite staffing levels.
  • Manage the budgeting, capital plan, and expenditures for the IT function.
  • Serve as a collaborative leader and coach for a group of dedicated Technology professionals.
  • Develop and implement all functional policies and procedures.
  • Remain current on laws, regulations, business trends, economic trends that impact the business and take appropriate action
  • Create and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Operate as the main point of contact with IT partners, managing those relationships to ensure maximum benefit for the organization
  • Lead the ITSC (IT Steering Committee) to prioritize IT initiatives and investments
  • Develop and present IT updates to the Board of Directors.
  • The APG CIO Role is a hands-on executive responsible for everything from visionary strategy and detailed execution including all things in between. The responsibilities outlined above are directional. The CIO must adapt flexibly and frequently to the needs of the business. No role description can comprehensively address all duties or responsibilities. The CIO is accountable for the business outcomes and must act with the requisite ownership to succeed.

The successful candidate will bring:

  • Insights on how to leverage and/or expand the use of cloud computing, data analytics, mobile computing, and collaboration platforms in scaling and expanding a multi-divisional organization
  • Experience managing and/or consolidating shared technology solutions, such as ERP, case management, and data analytics across the enterprise
  • Demonstrated performance record in managing a technology organization including, but not limited to, data center operations, infrastructure platforms, cloud environments, enterprise software, cybersecurity, systems development, and technology planning.
  • Proven leadership and exceptional communication skills
  • Strategic planning, M&A, and/or integration experience within a high-growth environment.
  • Automotive and/or E-Commerce experience preferred

You have/possess:

  • 15 years of progressive IT experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree (MBA preferred)
  • 10 years of progressive management roles (prior CIO, CTO, CISO preferred)
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing strategies and plans to help businesses reach their goals.
  • Demonstrated experience in working effectively with leaders in different business units to ensure a comprehensive IT strategy that benefits the entire company, the plan is understood, accepted, and endorsed

Aftermarket Performance Group (APG) is a fast-growing leader in the automotive aftermarket industry. The company is made up of multiple divisions focused on the wholesale distributor and direct-to-consumer segments within diesel performance (Premier Performance Products), jeep and off-road (Northridge4x4), compact performance (RallySport Direct, JB Autosports, and GrimmSpeed), and gas segment (Stage 3 Motorsports).
