CAD/PLM Performance & DMU Engineer

We are looking for a 

CAD/PLM Performance & DMU Engineer 

Would you like to

  • develop CAD master data model and DMU infrastructure standards supporting a digital thread framework that connects engineering source data with various downstream functional data?
  • assure that modelling standards and best practices are cost-effective, value-added and support the overall digital thread strategy?
  • provide input and develop requirements regarding next-generation DMU-related software and processes?
  • collaborate with designers, IT, and various functional organizations on the integration of DMU-related software with other business systems?
  • develop and support application tools to automate, standardize and streamline current designer processes?
  • collaborate across all technical departments and create DMU standards. Provide coaching/training as required?
  • develop and implement efficient review process to ensure compliance with modelling and DMU standards?
  • model and release proprietary and Sauber standard parts and features within the CAD and PLM environments?
  • develop the standard parts catalogue?
  • perform DMU analysis and reporting to ensure components and systems are properly integrated to fulfil the design safety, reliability, and serviceability?

Do you have

  • a bachelor’s degree in engineering or another four-year technical degree combined with sufficient relevant work experience?
  • some CAD modelling experience (CATIA V5, V6 and 3DX experience is preferred)?
  • some DMU and CAD application development experience?
  • a basic understanding of the business systems required to execute large scale product development (CAD, PLM, ERP, etc.)?
  • knowledge of any programming languages (C#, Python, C++, etc.)?
  • strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to accurately relay information to both technical and management forums?
  • strong organizational skills: experience in managing large complex tasks preferred?
  • a Swiss work permit or an EU nationality and therefore meet the criteria for a work permit in Switzerland?
