As a member of the IDIADA group Body Development Team (SURF/CAD/CAE), you will be part of the BELGIUM BODY DESIGN team, being involved in engineering development projects for different clients from the global automotive world.
Reporting to the CAD Team Leader / CAD Project Manager, you will be responsible for developing 3D CAD models and 2D drawings in the pursuit of providing solutions for the automotive industry and cooperating with multidisciplinary teams.
You would be working within international teams collaborating in different projects in the automotive industry, liaising with important clients at a national and international level.
It is a unique and challenging opportunity to be a key part of very important projects from the early stages till the start of production, going throw all projects milestones.
You will be responsible for parts design engineering, proposing structure improvements in terms of shape, material or thickness optimisation, fixing solutions and parts layout. You will be responsible to study and confirm the performance of the design according to the costumers standards.
Key deliverables:
- Design change proposal reports.
- Structural study reports.
- Technical specifications.
- 2D drawings in CATDrawing or 2D Layout format.
- 3D models in Catia V5 format.
You will be attending the design reviews, being responsible to prepare explanations and reporting documents/sections in order to summarise and explain the key factors of their design, or decision making process; for the intention of review by costumer engineers/management.
