Business Development Manager - Automotive OEM

ABOUT THE BUSINESS

The Zircotec Group transitioned into the automotive sector in the 1990’s and has now become a global brand, working with major OEM clients, Formula 1 and motorsport teams as well as the aftermarket sector. Zircotec offers innovative heat management solutions with the focus being on thermal management performance. Industry emission targets and the requirements to reduce the carbon foot print for all car/ motorcycle manufacturers have ensured consistent growth of which is suggested will continue for the foreseeable future. Secondary to our performance offerings, we also offer styling solutions for heat effected areas of vehicles. This can now be seen on most premium cars & motorbikes and is an area of significant importance to the Zircotec Group.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We’re looking for someone with a passion for the automotive sector to join our team and manage our existing OEM and Tier 1 client base and proactively seek new opportunities within this sector. This is a technical sales role, delivering solutions for some of the current challenges facing the automotive industry. These include EV and battery pack solutions, Thermal Management and light weighting. The portfolio of products available include specialist coatings solutions, through to industry leading heat shielding products. To be successful you must have a proven track record in developing OEM and tier 1 accounts, sourcing new opportunities and delivering a strong pipeline with ability to convert as well as manage through NPI processes. Experience of selling into Powertrain departments at OEM and Tier 1 level would be beneficial but not essential

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Account Management: Creating and implementing account development programmes, creating opportunities for future platforms and cross selling of product streams
  • Business Development: Pro-actively generating enquiries through targeted marketing, networking and cold/ warm calling.
  • Pipeline Management: Creating and reporting a current and ongoing pipeline ensuring all stakeholders are updated with upcoming projects
  • NPI: Working with our internal projects team, operations, and quality teams to seamlessly deliver new projects.
  • Marketing/ Events: Liaise with our marketing department to produce POS material along with planning and attending relevant events and exhibitions.
  • Team Player: You will be required to assist other team members to achieve company goals where necessary
