Business Development Manager

Role Purpose:

Do you love F1, Motorsport and have a passion for tech, digital and sports in general? Do you live and breathe social? We're looking for an energetic and proactive Digital rockstar to run a new business in partnership with the world's most famous Motorsport teams and F1 Drivers. You will join the world's largest sports startup, reaching over 25M Motorsport fans each month through flagship titles like F1 Racing, Motorsport.com, and Autosport.  

Key Responsibilities:

Business Operations: As product manager for this product, you will be responsible for day-to-day communications with our partners, including world famous drivers, teams and agents. 

  • Product Management: This role will be an influential figure in the informing of the product roadmap.
  • Account Management: This role is key to ensuring our partners are delivering and extracting value from the product.

Key Deliverables:

  • Reporting and sharing business intelligence with our partners and internal stakeholders
  • Product: Assisting with design, prioritisation, and backlog of product features, improvements and fixes. 
  • Content: Assisting the content team with curation, creation, and sourcing of content. Assisting the social team with some social media tasks. 

Skills and Experience Required:

ESSENTIAL:

  • Experience working with professional sports teams and athletes on a business (commercial) capacity. 
  • Experience handling product backlogs and works with engineering and development teams. 
  • Exceptional Presentation skills, to board and c-level execs.
  • Excellent analytical acumen. 

PREFERRED:

  • Big data and analytics experience, in particular on the advertising and programmatic side.
  • Experience in deal-making and negotiating deals and terms. 
  • Content strategy in the digital sports space. 
  • Experience running social media accounts, on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. 
  • Experience with Google Analytics.
  • Experience with Facebook analytics, advertising, and FB business manager. 

Knowledge Required:

  • A passion and deep knowledge of Motorsports, and in particular F1.
  • Google Analytics, Facebook analytics, and advertising, 
  • A general finger on the pulse of digital and tech trends, in particular in the sports industry. 

Qualifications Required:

  • At least five years experience in a sports or digital media company. 
  • A track record of deals executed and demonstrable evidence of your involvement. 
  • Bachelors degree at a minimum.
