Business Development Executive – Premium Sales

Atlanta Motor Speedway is one of America’s most iconic NASCAR tracks. If you love motorsports and developing relationships, this could be your chance at a dream career.  We are looking for an individual that is passionate about motorsports to join our team and develop/sell premium inventory at our modern facility.

Summary:

Primarily responsible for selling premium inventory including but not limited to, event sponsorships, annual suites, multi-year suites, large corporate block ticket sales, hospitality chalet’s, motorhome hospitality and track rentals/corporate events.  You will be provided with a pool car for traveling to appointments, cell phone and lap top.  Compensation is salary plus commissions providing you with uncapped earning potential.  Some travel to other NASCAR races will be required for business prospecting.

Major Responsibilities:

  • This position will be focused on prospecting, appointment setting, executing sales presentations, and closing sales.
  • Set and conduct out of office sales appointments throughout the Georgia area.
  • Entertain and nurture relationships with clients and prospects through creative means including but not limited to: networking events, speaking engagements, one-on-one dinners / lunches and outside meetings.
  • Due to the nature of this role, the candidate must be willing to work non-traditional hours, weekends and event days.
  • The candidate will be accountable for certain levels of activity (calls and appointments), appointment goals, and closed sales goals.
  • Candidate should possess an optimistic team-first attitude, as well as the competitive desire to be the best.
  • Candidate should possess both the personal and professional communication skills to conduct face to face presentations.
  • Must be organized and know how to prospect well. 

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of prior direct sales experience - sports sales/industry experience a plus.
  • Proven ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Presentation & communication skills to effectively influence C-Level clients.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Previous working experience with SalesForce and Archtics is a plus.
  • Candidate must have a strong work ethic and a desire to build a career in professional sports.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
