YOUR ROLE

Working in the Broadcast Operations Team, you will manage and oversee broadcast operation at Formula E race events. You will be the link between host broadcaster and Formula E event staff, both on event and in the office during planning stages. 
 
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING  

  • Supporting the Broadcast Operations Manager with actioning broadcast partner requests and running the International TV Compound onsite where needed  
  • Working closely with the Partnerships team to help plan team & partner content projects  
  • Overseeing special broadcast projects and documentaries, acting as on-site support for these projects  
  • Attending regular planning meetings to ensure smooth integration both operationally and editorially  
  • Compiling workflow and delivery schedules to ensure the Broadcast department hits key deadlines  
  • Clearly communicating operational and editorial updates to our content partners  
  • Working to defined budgets and obtaining quotes from suppliers 

Operational Planning  

  • Operational liaison between Formula E Event Management and FETV (Host Broadcaster). Plan all onsite filming activities and support services ranging from access and production plans, to logistics, budget management and broadcast technical build specifications 

Broadcast Event Management  

  • Adaptable when at events to support the FETV and Formula E Broadcast teams by managing the TV compound, supporting production crews, live floor managing and problem solving under pressure 

Develop Broadcast Partner Relationships  

  • Build relationships with key broadcast partners; ensure a regular and accurate information flow and provide bespoke support as required 

Content/Programme Delivery  

  • Oversee consistent delivery of live programming and ensure that all non-live programming is delivered on time and to the correct specifications on the Formula E content platform 

Project Management  

  • Be a point of contact for team and partner content projects, providing planning support for bespoke filming and providing clear guidelines  
  • Oversee special filming crews on site helping with access to event, content gathering and editorial overview 

Manage Production Paperwork  

  • Collate, check and distribute all race related information including satellite and fibre details, running orders, promotional content and editorial guidelines  
  • Raise purchase orders, build presentations, create schedules and compile reports as required. 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

This role is within a small but growing team. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, a proactive and collaborative mindset, problem solving attitude, willingness to adapt in an ever-changing environment to multiple tasks, attention to detail and a desire to learn. 

  • Able to deliver a large-scale broadcast product  
  • Excellent knowledge of a complicated broadcast operation with proven experience of employing technical and operational skills to problem solve  
  • An understanding of broadcast distribution and content platforms, including satellite and fibre transmission  
  • Basic TV Production editing and media management skills is a bonus  
  • Excellent spoken and written English, additional languages beneficial  
  • Be excited about global travel and working on Formula E events around the world.
